Summer Fun

Well it's been a while.  This summer has been packed full of fun (camping, vacation, beach, tidepooling, birthdays, family, and friends) and work, which sadly hasn't left much time for blogging.  But with the summer winding down I'm hoping to squeeze in some daily blogging time since I love getting my ideas out of my head and onto the blogging canvas.  While we've been having fun I've also been focusing on one of my New Year's resolutions, making the house a home.  The office makeover hit a few speed bumps and has taken a back seat to the living room makeover, which is moving along swimmingly.  I'll share my trials and tribulations on my house decorating journey later this week (maybe by then my lovely chairs will have arrived).

Summer is my favorite season of the year.  I'm savoring every last drop of the summer air and the long days.  But we're nearing the tail end of summer and fall is in the air (the leaves on our maple tree are already turning autumn colors) so fall planning has commenced.  This includes fall themed activities for the kiddo, holiday ideas, and my favorite part of autumn, planning the fall/winter garden.  Last year was my first year doing a winter garden and it was  so easy, fun, and productive that I have big plans for this year.
